i have a similar issue: conection refused sockopt

I fixed mine with the same error. What I had to do being the host was use the default Minecrafts default port forward (25565). Essentially I started a port forward without it and my friends couldn’t join , upon realizing I didn’t put the code I restarted a new port forward with it and worked, hope this helps someone

What worked for me was downloading the Minecraft website app on my MAC and logging in there. Even though my grandson can't play Minecraft on my MAC from the website, the point was to just log in and connect there to wake up and strengthen the connection so that the PS4 would recognize the account! After I pushed the green "let's go or let's play" ( I think it said lets go or play ) button after I logged in on the Minecraft app on my MAC, I went straight to the PS4 and followed the log in steps there... right after I put that generated PS4 code in, my grandson's avatar popped up on the PS4 with the green "let's go or let's play" button. I pushed that button, and he was logged in! My grandson is almost 7. He's coming home from school right now and he's gonna be so happy! Let me know if this works for you all! Don't change your password or email. Try this first because Minecraft is sensitive, and you really don't need to fool around changing anything if you can help it. Stay logged in on the computer app. I think you can also download the app to your phone, as well. Let me know if it works for you. God bless you.
